Kingston- Arthur D. Langer, formerly of Brown Station Road, Olivebridge, died Sunday, May 2, 2004 at Kingston Hospital. He was 86.
He was born October 2, 1917 in New York City, a son of the late Jules and Sarah Wolfson Langer.
During WW II, he served in the Pacific Theater with the army. He graduated with a BA from Brooklyn College and a M Ed from New York University. He taught for many years in New York City. During the late 50’s and early 60’s he helped direct Camp Alamar in Carmel with his wife. He was a member of Temple Emanuel.
His wife, Arlyne Singer Langer died February 7, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, Andrew and Richard, both of New York City, a brother, Martin of Irvine, CA and one grandson, Jesse Drew Langer.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, 11:30 am at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Flushing. Rabbi Yael Romer will officiate.
