Arnold S. Montalbano

Arnold ''Sonny'' S. Montalbano, 79, of Ulster Park, passed peacefully Tuesday evening, September 3, 2013 at Westchester Medical Center. He was born January 8, 1934 in the Bronx and was the son of late Ann Montalbano.




He was the husband of Verna Greco Montalbano; they wed on October 7th, 1962.




Mr. Montalbano had been involved in the produce business all his life, he started as a youngster working in the Bronx Terminal Market, he moved up to this area when he was 18, living in Marlboro. He had been the owner of Sunshine Farm Market and Sonny's for many years. He enjoyed fishing and in particular deep sea fishing.




In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Verna A. Montalbano of Ulster Park and several nieces and nephews.




Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, the family will receive their friends on Friday from 4 - 7 pm. The service will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery
