Arlene G. Mastrocola, 89, of High Falls, passed away on Christmas Day surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 31, 1927 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Barbara Struss. Arlene moved to Kingston as a girl and graduated from Kingston High School. As a young woman she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Morris Fletcher of Kingston. Arlene loved reading, crossword puzzles, theater, music and movies. She was accomplished at cooking, sewing and gardening.
Arlene is survived by her children, Wendy Mastrocola of Norcross, GA, Cathy Merritt of West Hurley, Nancy Mastrocola and her husband Eric of Kingston, Jeffrey Mastrocola and his wife Jennifer of High Falls and Jennifer DeGraw and her husband, David of Rosendale, her beloved grandchildren, Nina and Emily Merritt and Laura and Jack Nolterieke and Jacob Mastrocola. Two sisters in law, nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her husband, Enrico "Flip" Mastrocola, two brothers, Arthur Struss and Richard Struss and a nephew Ricky Struss. Arlene will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5-8 PM.
A private graveside service will be held at Wiltwyck Cemetery on Friday.
