Antonino “Tony” Rovereto of Linderman Ave. Extension, Town of Ulster died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at his home. He was 78.
He was born in Messina, Sicily, Italy, a son of the late Santo and Adelina Amato Rovereto. Mr. Rovereto served in the Italian Army and then worked as a professional chauffeur. In 1962 he immigrated to this country and settled in Kingston. He married Maria Servadio on August 4, 1963.
For 15 years Mr. Rovereto was a machine operator at Kingston Knitting Mills and in 1978 worked at Huck Manufacturing until retirement in 1998.
Beloved husband of Maria Rovereto, loving brother of Marianna Saporito of Utica, Nunziata Laquidara of Kingston and the late Raffaele Rovereto. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
Reposing at the Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Tuesday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. The funeral procession will form on Wednesday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
