Antoinette Provenzano peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at the Golden Hill Health Care Facility.
She was born in Glasco, a daughter of the late Domenico and Michelina Battaglino. Raised in Glasco, Antoinette moved to Kingston after her marriage to Louis 'Chic' Provenzano.
Formerly of Madison Avenue, Kingston, Antoinette was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Kingston. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Santa Maria.
Her husband Louis 'Chic' Provenzano died December 25, 1979. Her sisters; Ann DePasquale, Elizabeth Cafaldo, Fannie Battaglino and a brother John Battaglino all died previously.
She is survived by her two sisters Angie Aiello, of Kingston; Marietta Carter, of Virginia; her brother Michael Battaglino and his wife Kathryn, of Binghamton.
Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Very special niece and nephews; Fran and Jerry Nuzzo and Sal Provenzano, and dear friend Albert Spada. The family extends their appreciation to the Golden Hill Health Care Center SW2 Staff, for their caring and compassion. Antionette and Chic worked side by side for many years operating their restaurants; Chic's Rendovous, Kingston, The Hofbrau, Glasco and Uncle Chic's, Kingston. She will always be remembered for the love she gave her family, her grace and elegance, her quick witt, and wonderful stories,. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday morning at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Avenue from 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. In lieu of flowers Donations may be made to the 'Golden Hill Activities Fund' 99 Golden Hill Dr., Kingston, NY 12401.
