Anthony John Ferro

Anthony John Ferro, 83, of Lake Katrine died February 4, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Born in Kingston. He was the son of the late Charles Ferro & Julia Bloise.
Anthony was an altar boy out of St. Peter’s Church in Kingston NY growing up. He liked working with his hands and was a jack of all trades as he could fix anything. Anthony worked as a pizza maker in a family business in Massachusetts. Later he worked as a painter and then as a laborer where he worked and retired after 33 years out of the Laborers Local 17.
Anthony had a strong passion for the sport of horse racing and loved doing yard work, landscaping and helping his grandchildren fix anything they needed. He was loved by all!
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Rosemarie Ferro, his children Anna Rousseau and her husband Michael, of Middleboro, MA., Annette DesRosiers and her partner Frank Barker, of Revere, MA, Tracy Jones and her husband Stephen, of Kingston, NY, Chris Ferro, of Lake Katrine, Glen Ferro and his wife Kam, of East Brunswick, NJ, and his two sisters Marie Daily, of Kingston, NY, and Rose Demetriou, of Santa Monica, CA, nine grandchildren, Mark, Stephanie, Felicia, Daniel, Anthony, Kobe, Joey, Derek, Darren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anthony is predeceased by his son Anthony Ferro Jr., his siblings, Nancy Ferro, Josaphine Gaultier, Salvatore Ferro, Theresa Dunnigan and Arthur Ferro. Anthony is also predeceased by his grandchild René.
Anthony will be reposing at the Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave Kingston, on Thursday February 10, 2022 from 3 to 7PM.
A funeral service will be held on Friday February 11 at 11AM at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
