Anthony C. Gallo, Sr., 88, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Monday, December 7, 2015 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Born in East Kingston, he was a son of the late Thomas & Catherine Natale Gallo.
Anthony was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII. He worked at the Star Brick Yard in East Kingston. He then worked for IBM for 32 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 65 years, Julia Whipple Gallo, whom he married on November 19, 1950, five children, Anthony C. Gallo, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Saugerties, John D. Gallo of Kingston, Linda Brown and her husband Michael of Lansing, MI, Vincent M. Gallo of Kingston and Lisa Gallo of Lake Katrine, a brother, Christopher Gallo of Kingston, five grandchildren, Kyle and his wife Ashley, Emily and her fianc, Gabe, Noelle and her husband David, Jessica and Elizabeth, three great grandchildren, Mason, Isabella and Nolan. Two aunts and many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was predeceased by one sister, Teresa Schlanger, three brothers, Frank Gallo, Dominic Gallo and Louis Gallo.
Anthony will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 3-7 PM.
The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph Church.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
