Anne Woinoski, 83, of Hurley, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Ten Broeck Commons.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late George & Harriett DeWitt Duffner. Anne was a graduate of St. Joseph's School, St. Ursula's Academy and Spencer Business School in Kingston. She was a devout Catholic who was involved in the St. Joseph's Choir and a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church for 83 years. She was also active with Catholic Charities and the Adoration Chapel, Immaculate Conception Church.
Anne enjoyed gardening, flowers and plants. She also loved her cats. Anne is survived by her husband of 62 years, Anthony Woinoski of Hurley, whom she married on May 30, 1954, three children, Michael Woinoski and his wife Linda of New Paltz, Edward Woinoski and his wife Karen of Saugerties and Cynthia Rau and her husband Ernie of Nassau, NY, a brother, George Duffner and his wife Judy of Victoria, TX , a sister, Mary Zeeh and her husband Dick of Lake Katrine, four grandchildren, Ernie, Steven, Jake and Jason, two great granddaughters, Arvelle and Sylvanna. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Anne was predeceased by a sister, Colleen McGrath and a brother, Edward Duffner.
Anne will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Monday at 9:00 AM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church.
Interment will follow in Hurley Cemetery.
