Anne Reuben, formerly of Kingston, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Selbyville, DE. She was 104.
She was born in Kingston on April 7, 1908, a daughter of the late Jacob and Ida Slone Siller. After school, Anne was a legal secretary in Albany, NY. Anne then lived in Washington, D.C., Arlington, VA and Silver Spring, MD while her husband, Isaac Reuben, worked as a VA Hospital architect. Isaac died April 18, 1961.
Anne returned to Kingston and for many years worked in the front office at Siller Beef, Kingston. A member of Congregation Ahavath Israel, she belonged to the Sisterhood.
Beloved wife of the late Isaac Reuben, loving mother of Janet Stanley and her husband Kenneth of Vienna, VA and Harold Reuben and his wife Carole of Gaithersburg, MD; grandmother of Teresa Mahoney, Thomas Scott Mahoney, Kimberly Kochuba and Karen Reuben; great grandmother of Madelyne and Jacob Kochuba; sister of the late Mildred Goldman, Sylvia Forstate, Louis M. Siller and Herbert M. Siller; sister in law of Elaine Siller of New Paltz. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 1:00 PM at Simpson Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. by Rabbi Jen Schlosberg. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
