Anna Occhi

Anna Occhi, a retired seamstress in NYC, passed on Friday, February 5, 2016. She was 90. The daughter of the late Elvira and Secondo Croci she was born on December 27, 1925 in Pievi di Gusaliggio, Valmozzola Parma Italy. Anna was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years Ettore in 1995. Ettore and Anna immigrated to the United States in 1966 from London after immigrating to London in 1958 from Italy and settled in the Bronx. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who thought of others first and cared deeply for her family. As the matriarch of our family she taught us that family was the most important thing in life and to love and care for each other. Anna was a hardworking woman throughout life, who always put family first we will miss her kindness, thoughtfulness, smile, and sense of humor. We love you and we look forward to the day we will see you again, until that day we have gained a special guardian angel. Survivors are her son Mario and his wife Nancy, daughter Mariuccia and husband Frank deceased, Luigi, a sister Maria (Renato), a brother Guiseppe (Emma) deceased, four grandchildren Andrew(Virginia) of West Hurley, Richard (Amy) of Kingston, Susan (Roy) of Bayside, Edward(Kelly) Philadelphia, five great-grandchildren Michela, Nicholas, Julia, Amelia, Luca, Gianfranco. Visiting will be Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Avenue, Kingston and Saturday at 8-10am at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass to follow at St. Dominic's Church, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx.
