Anna May Sutton of Walton Lane died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Kingston Hospital. She was 82.
She was born July 8, 1926 in Kingston, a daughter of the late Joseph and Viola Meeker Van Wagenen.
A housewife, she loved her children, camping cooking and celebrating Christmas.
On November 5, 1944 she married George Sutton who died October 1, 2000.
Surviving are her children, Ann Rothvoss and her husband Arnold of Hurley; Barbara Baloy and her husband Adam of Hurley; Josephine Sutton of Hurley; Janet Stallman of Hurley; Margaret Rothvoss and her husband Daniel of Ancramdale; Sandy Parsons and her husband Albert of Ancramdale; Bonita Brown of Ancramdale; Judy Handschuh and her husband Wayne of Kingston; Billy Sutton of Port Ewen; Charlotte Brown and her husband Jack of Hurley; sister of the late Ralph and Fred Van Wagenen and Nellie Short.
Twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-nine great grand children, five great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Friday from 2 4 & 7 9 PM. At 8:30 PM funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Al Schofield. Cremation will be at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
