Anna Marie Frances Apel

Anna Marie Frances Apel of Washington Ave., Kingston died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Northern Dutchess Hospital. She was 88. She was born in Germany, a daughter of the late Frankz and Anna Dessart. Formerly of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Anna moved up to Stone Ridge in the 1960's and then to Kingston. A parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Anna served as a Eucharistic Minister. Her husband, Henry Richard Apel died November 12, 1958. Mother of June Alhushe, Annie Apel, Sophie Teller and the late Richard, Frank and infant John Apel; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Anna is also survived by many loving and caring friends. Reposing at the Simpson Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Saturday from 8:30 9:30 am. The funeral cortege will then process to St. Joseph's Church for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass, celebrated by Fr. Frank Damis. Interment will follow in Hurley Cemetery.
