Anna M. Bruns

Anna M. Bruns, of Grant Street, Kingston died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Kingston Hospital. She was 84. A native and lifelong Kingston resident, she was born on September 15, 1922, a daughter of the late Peter and Maria Verhnau Manion. For over 20 years, she was employed as an operator for New York Telephone in Kingston. She retired in 1978 and was member of the New York Telephone Pioneers. Anna participated in several area senior bowling leagues and was an avid bingo player. Her beloved husband Max Bruns died September 22, 2003. A sister, Mary Chesterman died previously. She is survived by her dear friend, Phyllis Wolff and several nieces and nephews. Her beloved dog, Benji, survives. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday from 2 -4 and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Rev. David Brechter will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Marion Cemetery.
