Anna Cozza Bonomo, formerly of Downs St., Kingston died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Vassar Bros. Hospital. She was 96.
Anna was born in Kingston Point, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Spadafora Cozza. She married Anthony Bonomo on June 4, 1939.
For many years Anna worked as a sewing machine operator for several Kingston-area dress and shirt factories.
A parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, she belonged to St. Joseph's Altar - Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of the America, Court Santa Maria. Her husband, Anthony, died March 14, 2001.
In 2004 Anna moved to Poughkeepsie to be closer to her sister, Minnie and Donna DiStefano Rogers, Patricia Jenkins and Ernie DiStefano (whom she considered "her children.")
Beloved sister of the late Charles Cozza, Minnie DiStefano and Ralph Cozza. Many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews survive.

Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday from 4:00 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Frank Damis will celebrate. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
