Ann M. Spiesman, formerly of Kingston, died Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at Avante of Lake Worth. She was 102. She was born in New York City on April 24, 1901. A longtime Kingston resident, Mrs. Spiesman was a member at Temple Emanuel. She was an active member of the Kingston Hospital Auxiliary and a life member of B’nai Brith and Hadassah. An avid golfer, she belonged to Wiltwyck Golf Club. Her husband Harry Spiesman, founder of Spiesman’s Bakery, Kingston, died November 27, 1981. One son Edwin Spiesman died previously. Wife of the late Harry Spiesman; mother of Clifford Charles Spiesman and his wife Arlene and the late Edwin Spiesman; grandmother of Randy Spiesman and his wife Terry of Kingston, Thomas Spiesman and his wife Debra of Montville, NJ, Penny Ellis and her husband James of Bayfield, CO, Carolyn Brekka and her husband Chris of Margate, FL, Betsy Weisman and her husband David of Hollywood, FL; great grandmother of Matthew and Sara Spiesman, Robin, Alex and Brooke Weisman, Brian and Alana Quain, Nahshon Clapper and Kennen Ellis. Many nieces, nephews and dear friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 12:00 PM at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Cantor Robert Cohen will officiate. Interment in Montrepose Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
