Anita Marie (Stoddard) Williamson, 40, of Sawkill died peacefully at 4:50 A.M. on 3/20/11 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts with family at her side. She lost a long and very courageous battle with Lymphoma.
Anita was born 6/28/70 to Marvin and Marguerite Stoddard, she married Bruce Williamson on 9/12/99.
She was a graduate of Ulster County Community College and was a Certified Operating Room Nurse and member of A.O.R.N. Anita loved her profession and has spent the last 17 years as part of the operating room staff. In her youth she was very involved in raising and showing sheep in 4-H and in open classes across NY., Pa., Ma., Ct., and Ky. winning many awards and championships. Anita was also Wool Queen, master showman and later judged master showmanship at Ulster County Fair. Her family was her life and her profession her passion. Anita touched the lives of many, many people both personally and/or professionally.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her two sons, 8 year old Caleb and 3 year old Damian at home, a step-son Adam of Schenectady, two brothers, Ross and his wife Penny of Elizaville and Duane and his wife Linda of Red Hook, her mother-in-law Annie Williamson, her father-in-law Marshall Williamson, as well as several, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and many friends. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She is predeceased by her grandparents, Bunk and Grace Joy and Marvin and Lucy Stoddard.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401 where a memorial visitation will be held on Sunday March 27th from 4 to 7pm.
Funeral services will be held on Monday March 28th, at 10:30 am at The Plattekill Reformed Church, 622 Kings Highway, Saugerties, NY, 12477
Immediately following the service all are invited to Celebrate Anita's Life at the Ruby Rod and Gun Club.
