Angelina Lopez, 89, of Kingston, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Cidra, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Philomena Rodrigues Lopez.
Angie lived in Puerto Rico with her mother until 1946. At that time, she and her mother moved to New York City. Angelina then moved to Wassaic Developmental Center and in June 2000, she moved to the Palmer Center.
Angelina worked at Pilot Industries sheltered employment completing assembly tasks in Kingston NY for many years. She then attended Day Program at Pecora Day Hab until her retirement in 2015.
She enjoyed Palmer In Home Day Services from 2015 until her death. Her favorite activities included coloring, attending to her doll babies and stuffed animals, enjoying nature, listening to music, going for walks, and interacting with her favorite staff and individuals.
Angie was well loved and cared for and was known for her spunky personality, flare for fashion, love for jewelry and great sense of humor!!!
She is survived by her many friends and her ARC of Ulster family.
Angelina will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Friday, August 8, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Fr. Daniel Maichiki from St. Marys Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
