Angelina 'Angie' Battaglino Aiello, formerly of Madison Ave., Kingston passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Golden Hill Health Care Facility.
She was born in Glasco, a daughter of the late Domenica and Michelina DeRisola Battaglino.
Angie will be remembered for her brilliant smile, infectious laughter and her giving nature. Her cooking and baking was famous among family and friends. There wasn’t a holiday that didn’t revolve around “Aunt Angie” and her teaching others her trade secrets in the kitchen. Our gratitude for the wonderful care by the doctors, nurses, nurses’ aides and staff that took such wonderful care of Angie during her time at Golden Hill Health Center.
Her husband Louis Aiello, one daughter Susan Aiello Greene, four sisters Anna DePasquale, Elizabeth Cafaldo, Fannie Battaglino, Antoinette Provenzano and one brother John Battaglino.
She is survived by her sister, Marietta Carter of Alexandria Virginia, her brother Michael and his wife Kathryn Battaglino of Binghamton, her daughter Maureen, grandchildren Leslie, Dustin, Bryan, Jonathan, Benjamin, Sidney and Dominic as well as many nieces and nephews; special niece and nephew: Fran and Jerry Nuzzo, several great-grand nieces and nephews and very dear friend, Albert Spada.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Monday from 10:00 - 11:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jospeh's Church at 12:00. Interment will be in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights.
