Rev. Angel Triminio

July 6, 1957 — January 2, 2025

Kingston

He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe.

2 Timoteo 4:7-8

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Pastor and Bishop Angel Triminio on January 2, 2025, at the age of 67, after a brave battle with an autoimmune condition following his heart transplant. His miraculous heart transplant extended his life, allowing him to return home and share his miracle with his family and congregation, and also to say his final goodbye. Born on July 6, 1957, in Morazon Yoro, Honduras, Angel’s life was defined by his deep faith, love for people, and selfless service. He was a devoted husband to Roxana Triminio and is survived by his children—Angel, Cynthia, Jonathan, Roxanita, Adrian, Jacqueline, and Jeannette—and his beloved grandchildren—Angel Jr., Khloe, Lukas, Riley, and Luna. He is also survived by his siblings Rosa, Bertha, Gloria, Gladys, and Orlando, and the Triminio family, and his family of the faith. For 25 years, Angel pastored Iglesia de Dios de Kingston, where his leadership impacted countless lives. He planted five churches and mentored several churches, spreading the gospel and building communities of faith locally and internationally. Known for his generosity, Angel was a man who saw a need and acted on it, whether by providing for the poor, giving his last possession, or supporting those around him. Pastor Angel’s life was a living testament to Acts 20:35: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." He modeled this principle every day, especially in his love for children and his constant encouragement to others to live with kindness, humility, and faith. As we mourn the loss of a father, husband, pastor, and friend, we are comforted by Angel’s unshakable faith. His final words before his heart transplant were, “I’ll see you here, or I’ll see you there,” reflecting his confidence that his ultimate destination was with the Lord. We will miss his beautiful smile, his crystal-blue eyes, and his unwavering love. Angel leaves behind a legacy of love in action, faith, and service to others, which will continue to inspire us. We find peace in 2 Corinthians 5:8: “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
