Andrew F. Delaney

He was married to Nancy (Anderson) Delaney on September 13, 1969.

Graduate of John Marshall High School, Rochester, MN, he was a National Merit Scholarship winner and was a graduate of University of Connecticut.

He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during Vietnam, he was stationed in Fort Meade, MD.
Andy had been employed by IBM as a manager in system programming, he had worked in Kingston, Poughkeepsie and for 3 years he was in Italy. He retired after 31 years of employment in 2000.

He was a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts, and was the regional representative for New York State. With his wife they have traveled across the country, Canada and England, having ridden over 250 roller coasters.

He was a talented Amateur photographer, whose work had been exhibited in galleries in the Hudson Valley and New England. He had served on and had been president of the Hurley Library board. He enjoyed cooking and hiking.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his sons, Dr. Peter F. Delaney, Greensboro, NC, and his wife Dr. Lili Sahakyan; Michael P. Delaney and his wife Jill of Clifton Park, NY; Brother, Timothy Delaney, Glenford, NY; Sister, Kathleen Delaney, Hudson, NH; Brother, Thomas Delaney, Saugerties, NY; Grandchildren, Keira, Liam, and Jackson Delaney, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 25 from 2 - 5 pm at Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY.
