Alice Herzog, formerly of Kingston, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home, Albany. She was 93.
She was born in Brooklyn on May 15, 1914, a daughter of the late Hyman and Rachel Viedra Golshersky. She moved to Kingston in 1937 and married Samual J. Herzog on September 5, 1937. For many years she was a sales person at London's Department Store, Kingston in the boys and girls department.
A member of Congregation Agudas Achim and Hadassah, Mrs. Herzog volunteered at the Golden Hill Health Care Center. She belonged to the Young at Heart Senior Citizens.
Her husband, Samuel, died June 19, 1993; one brother Morris Golshersky died previously.
Surviving are two sons Herbert Herzog of Manhattan and Robert Herzog of Brooklyn; one sister Anna Saftlas of Cleveland, Ohio; to grandsons Yosef and Moshe Herzog, one great granddaughter Rachel Herzog; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. Rabbi Yitzchok Hecht will officate. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
