Alice Bates Butler

Alice (Bates) Butler, 76, of Ulster Park, formerly of Michigan, died Monday, January 30, 2012 at The Kingston Hospital. She was born June 28, 1935 in Deerbourn, MI to the late Thomas and Catherine (O'Neil) Bates. She was married to her loving husband Stanley L. Butler who passed away on March 3, 2002. Alice worked as an associate for Wal-Mart in Kingston since 2005. She loved watching nostalgic old movies and collected old Campbell Soup Kids and quilts. Alice is survived by her daughters; Catherine E. Harrison and her husband Mark Abraham of Ulster Park, NY, Philomena Lagreca and her husband John of Brandon, Fl, four grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, her brothers, Raymond and Tom Bates, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday February 4th at 12 noon at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 35 S. Chestnut Street, New Paltz, NY. A graveside service will take place in Mumford, Kentucky in the summer.
