Alexander J. "Sonny" Kish of Ulster Landing Road, Town of Ulster died Tuesday, October 19, 2010. He was 80.
He was born in Flatbush, Town of Ulster, a son of the late Alexander and Pauline Malignaggi Kish. As a young man Sonny worked at area brickyards.
For over 35 years he worked at I.B.M. in Poughkeepsie and Kingston. He retired in 1987 and belonged to the Quarter Century Club.
An avid skier, Sonny belonged to the "Up On The Hill Gang." He volunteered at Ulster Fire and Rescue Training Center and had honorary status.
Surviving are his wife Renee DuBois Kish, two daughters Diane Jensen and her companion Michael Heese of Ulster Landing, and Arlene DuBois of Philadelphia, PA; one brother Joseph L. Kish of Rhinebeck; one grandson Emerson DuBois and his wife Michele; one great grandson Emery DuBois; many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. David Brechter will officiate. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
