Albert H. ''Red'' Stewart, 82, of Kingston, NY, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at The Kingston Hospital, Kingston, NY. He was born February 14, 1928 in Smiths Landing, NY to the late John C. and Ella Jane Stokes Stewart.

He was married on November, 14th 1948 to his childhood sweetheart Amelia A. Ferretti Stewart who passed away in 2002.

Red served his country in United States Navy during World War II until his honorable discharge.
He then went on to drive trucks for Island Dock and Miron for many years. Red was one of the owners of Kelder's Nursery on Rt. 28 and after his retirement he worked construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. In recent years he loved to cook, bake and watch old movies.

He is survived by his daughter Deborah Allen of Port Ewen, grandson Jude S. Allen and his wife Sara of Connelly, granddaughter Bree M. Allen and her partner Sarah Moore of Kingston, a sister Kathryn Terpening of Saugerties, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife he is predeceased by his sisters, Ethel Seyler, Loretta Wynkoop, Charlotte Pavlak, Ruth Kessman and Iola Sloboda, as well as his brothers, Harold Stewart and J. Charles Stewart.

Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, NY 12401

Friends may call on Wednesday June 23rd from 4 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the UCSPCA, 20 Wiedy, Kingston, NY 12401
