Albert C. Carpino of Route 32, Glasco died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at HealthAlliance Broadway. He was 81.
He was born in East Kingston, a son of the late Paul and Frances Saccoman Carpino. A Kingston High School graduate, Al was then drafted in the US Army and served in Germany. He then worked at Star Brick, East Kingston. On May 19, 1957 he married Sue Petramale.
For over 24 years Al worked at I.B.M., Kingston and Poughkeepsie and retired in 1990. He was a parishioner of St. Colman's Church.
Beloved husband of Sue Carpino, loving father of Nancy A. Carpino of Marysville, KS and Karen M. Rua and her husband Frank P. Rua of Town of Ulster; grandfather of Adam M. and Frank Anthony Rua; sister of Jane Prusak, Rose Mazzuca and Margaret "Peg" Perry, all of Kingston, and the late Lillian Carpino, Josephine Gilyardi, Catherine Costello, Frank, Ralph, Thomas and Anthony Carpino. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Reposing at the Simpson Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday from 3:00 8:00 pm. The funeral procession will form on Saturday at 10:00 am from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Colman's Church at 11:00 am.
Entombment will follow in Wiltwyck Community Mausoleum.
