Alan Shultis

Alan R Shultis, 63, of Hurley, formerly of Blue Mountain, passed Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Golden Hill Health Care Center, Kingston, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 29, 1953 in Kingston, the son of late Robert and Louise DuBois Shultis.

He was the husband of Robyn Hull Mertine Shultis; they wed on July 4, 2000.

Alan started as a pressman for Vertis Company and then for many years worked for the Daily Freeman as a pressman, he then went to work for Wal-Mart in their shipping and receiving department.
Alan was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt and fish and take care of his cats. He was a loving and caring family man, always putting the needs of Robyn and the family first.

In addition to his wife Robyn, he is survived by his step children Robert and Brian Mertine, Donald Keizer, Shannon Hull, Daniel Lasher, II, Edyth Lasher and Mychelle Hull, a niece Alison Hull, a great nephew Raymond A. Hull, 4th and a great niece Sierra Hull and four grandchildren, Adon, Devin, Haley and Emalee.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Friday from 12 - 2 pm
