Alain L. 'Frenchie' Petit of New Salem Road, Port Ewen died Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Benedictine Hospital. He was 51.
Alain was born in Longuil, Quebec on January 29, 1954, a son of Monique Belleveau and the late Renee Petit.
A longtime area resident, he worked as a floor installer for Local #2287.
Alain was a parishioner of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Port Ewen and a member of the N.R.A.
Surviving in addition to his mother are three sons Alain, Andrew and Zachary, all of Port Ewen, two daughters Nicole and Jaclyn both of Port Ewen; three sisters, Jocyelene Turcotte of St. Bruno, Quebec, Joelle Petit of Montreal, Quebec and Yolande Petit of St. Bruno, Quebec and a brother Renee Petit of Montreal; one granddaughter Angeline Wood Petit; several nieces and nephews.
Reposing at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY on Wednesday from 5 - 9 PM.
Reposing at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home, 1559 Montarville, St. Bruno, Quebec on Sunday from 2-5 and 7-10.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bruno's Catholic Church, St. Bruno, Quebec on Monday at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be in St. Bruno Cemetery.
