Agnes C. Armstrong, 84, of Kingston, passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday morning February 2nd. She was born November 1, 1931 in New York City, the daughter of the late James and Angelina Tate.
She was the wife of the late Owen J. "Jack" Armstrong, who passed on October 9, 2000.
For many years Agnes had worked for Oakland County Michigan. She had been a member of the Eagles Club for many years. She enjoyed shopping, bingo, garage sales, snowmobiling, rides along the waterways and traveling.
Agnes is survived by her children, Elizabeth Bellas and her husband Michael, Owen Armstrong and his wife Rene, James Armstrong, Thomas Armstrong and his wife Debra, Steven Armstrong and his husband Mark Howard and Kellyann Churchill and her husband Wayne. Nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a sister Elizabeth "Betty" Keary, a brother John Tate and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Maryann Martin and James Tate.
Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, the family will receive their on Friday from 2 - 5 & 7 - 9 pm. On Saturday at 10am, the procession will from at the funeral home, at 11 am a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's RC Church.
