Adelina Rovereto of Linderman Ave., Kingston died Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. She was 97.
She was born in Patti, Sicily on December 22, 1908, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Nunziata Bonfiglio Amato. Mrs. Rovereto immigrated to this country in 1955 and settled in Kingston.
For 18 years she worked at the Kingston Knitting Mills.
Her husband Santo Rovereto died March 14, 1993. One son Raffaele Rovereto, one sister Maria Amato, two brothers Carmelo Amato and Tony Amato, three grandchildren, Adelina and Aldo Saporito and Adelina Saporito Knapp all died previously.
Surviving are one son Antonino Rovereto of Kingston, two daughters Marianna Saporito of Utica and Annunziata Laquidara of Kingston; two brothers Carmelo Amato of Buenos Aires, Argentina and Tony Amato of Sicily; 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. The funeral will be Friday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
