Adelaide Valle of Yarmouth St., Town of Ulster died Monday, August 26, 2013 at Broadway HealthAlliance. She was 86.
She was born in Manhattan, a daughter of the late Martin and Carmen Colon Vargas. Adelaide worked as a seamstress for designer, Henri Bendel and as a sewing teacher in New York City. On June 22, 1946 she married Antonio Valle and they moved to this area in 1951.
A parishioner of St. Catherine Labour Church, Adelaide previously worked at I.B.M., Kingston and as an account clerk at Ulster County Community College at its inception. She belonged to the C.S.E.A. Loving wife of Antonio Valle who died April 24, 2001; mother of Ronald Valle and his wife Kathleen of West Hurley, Celeste Valle and her husband Thomas McManus; grandmother of Jennifer Nicole Valle and Corrine Frances Paul; sister of Martin Vargas and his wife Helen of Tampa, FL and the late Carmen Vargas; aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Reposing at the Simpson Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. Kingston on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral procession will form on Thursday at 10:00 am from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine Labour Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
