Timothy J. Murphy

Timothy J. Murphy, of Phoenix, formerly of Saugerties, died June 24 at the Benedictine Hospital. He was born November 20, 1965 in Kingston, NY to Sylvia Severson Murphy and the late Stephen J. Murphy. He was married to Timaree Vlasak Murphy, they wed on October 1, 2004 in Phoenix AZ.

He was a graduate of Kingston High School and the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. He had been a police officer for the Town and village of Saugerties and then moved to the Phoenix, AZ. and was a Police Officer for the Phoenix Police Department. After graduating from Scottsdale Culinary Institute, he was employed as a chef. Tim enjoyed hiking, running, collecting coins and most recently enjoyed photography.In addition to his wife and his mother he is survived by daughter, Kashara Murphy, sister, Jeannette Ferguson, brother, Stephen J. Murphy, Jr., a close friend Staff Sgt. Tom Kruppa, US Army, several nieces and nephews.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Services will be private at the discretion of the family. .
