Karen Ann Hansberry

Karen Ann Hansberry, 64, of Floyd Ackert Road, West Park, passed suddenly, August 19, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was born May 25, 1949 in Hoboken, NJ the daughter of the late Phillip and Doris Maresca Dreyfus.




She was the wife of John H. Hansberry; they wed on July 21, 1972. Karen was a Claims Investigator for Zurich American Insurance, retiring in 1995.




She enjoyed cooking, a good party, watching football, spending time with her grandchildren and family.




In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Kimberley A. Tozzi and her husband Christopher of West Park, NY, step son Thomas W. Hansberry, Newark, NJ, and grandsons Randy Reese and CJ Tozzi.




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen. The memorial service will be private.
