Gertrude Tabakman

Gertrude Tabakman, formerly of Catskill Ave., Kingston died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck. She was 86. She was born June 1, 1922 in Harlem, a daughter of the late Morris and Fannie Blickstein Israel. Mrs. Tabakman was a housewife. Her husband Sidney W. Tabakman died September 15, 1987. Surviving are five daughters, Susan Gertner and her huband Howard of New York City, Martha VanDyke and her husband Joseph of Port Ewen, Barbara Tabakman and Diane Dousharm and her husband the late Neil Dousharm both of Rhinebeck and Nadine Danboise of Kingston and grandchildren Denise, Ramona, Michael, Randy, Laurie, Marc, Bruce, Shaun and Shane. Thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 12:00 PM in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston. Rabbi Yael Romer will officiate.
