A. Gail Edwards, 82, of Kingston, NY, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at home. She was born July 4, 1938 in Kingston, daughter of the late Douglas and Alice (Relyea) Edwards.
Gail was a Graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1955. She worked for many years as an Executive Secretary at IBM in Kingston. After retirement she worked part time at the Rip Van Winkle for Hudson River Cruises and volunteered at Mills Mansion in Staatsburgh.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Kingston Mannerchor and Damenchor, and Die Bergvagabunden Schuhplattler- A German Folk Dance Group. She was an avid, painter, photographer, chef/caterer, seamstress, vocalist and organist. Throughout her life she traveled extensively all over the world.
Gail is survived by her nieces, Kathryn Ostrander and her husband Stanley of Lake Hill, NY, Alice Lynn Hughes and her husband William of Kingston, her grand nieces and nephews, Cory Ostrander of Willow, NY, Sara Bentley and her husband Brad of Albany, NY, Billy Hughes of Kingston, Todd Hughes and his wife Ellen of Kingston, Megan Winne of Kerhonkson, Cheyanne Edwards of Stone Ridge, Ryan Edwards of Kingston, Nigel and Jaimie Caprotti of West Hurley, and Julia Thornton of New Mexico, several great nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law, Marjorie Edwards, the Gow family and friends of England, as well as her dear companions, Gene Brackle and Vivian Longto. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Joseph D. Edwards, her nephew, John D. Edwards, and her nieces, Joann Thornton and Tracy Edwards.
