Kevin M Kelbaugh, 47, of Rondout Drive, Kingston, passed peacefully Sunday evening January 19, 2014 at Westchester Medical Center, after a courageous battle with Leukemia.
He was a graduate of Onteora High School and earned his Bachelor's degree from Empire State University. Kevin had worked for UPS Kingston for 27 years.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he served as an Elder. He enjoyed Karate, having attained his black belt, training at Keith Bennet's Karate Academy; he was an avid genealogist, having researched many generations of ancestors. He had also been a Boy Scout Troop Leader, Troop 2, Lake Katrine.
He was born August 14, 1966 in Kingston, and is survived by his wife Jacklyn McGrath Kelbaugh; they wed July 27, 1996. His children Brandon, Jessica, Brittany and Joshua Kelbaugh and his parents Karl and Carolyn Kelbaugh.
Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. A graveside service will be held at Wiltwyck Cemetery on Wednesday at 1:00 PM.
A Celebration of Kevins Life will be held at Keith Bennett's Karate Academy 53 Albany Avenue Kingston, New York 12401 on Saturday at 12 noon. A service will also be held at Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 153 Fording Place Road, Lake Katrine, NY on Sunday at 1:30pm.
