Biography

Dorothy  “Dee”  D'Annunzio, 90, a longtime resident of Kingston, died peacefully at home on Thursday morning, January 26, 2012.  She was born May 25, 1921 in Manhattan, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Langone.  She was the loving wife of the late Marcella D'Annunzio. Mrs. D'Annunzio was a longtime employee of the Kingston Hospital and United Way. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s RC Church and was an active member of the Young Republicans Club and the Sew Sews Quilting Club. She is survived by her beloved family, her daughter Mary Ann Bauer, Cary, NC, her son John M. D'Annuzio and his wife Paula, Kingston, and was predeceased by her loving daughter Dorothy Ann Norton on February 7th, 2011. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive  She was predeceased by her brothers Anthony and Michael Langone and her sister Mary Mamazza. Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston. The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 3 – 6 pm. The procession will form on Monday at 11:00 a.m.  and proceed to St. Joseph's RC Church where at 12:00 p.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association, 301 Manchester Road, Suite 105, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
