Biography
Clara M. Simmons, 81, of Kingston, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at The Kingston Hospital. She was born November 9, 1930 in New Paltz, NY to the late John Taylor and Grace (Grahm) Taylor. She was married to George Simmons. Clara enjoyed playing bingo and watching her game shows on TV. She was very passionate about taking care of children and had taken care of many throughout her years. She is survived by her son; Prince A. Ellis and his wife Diondra of Kingston, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her son Anthony "Rocky" Johnson and her siblings, Anna Johnson, Mary Mapes and Theodore Taylor. Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where friends may call on Friday from 10 - 11 am at the funeral home.
