Our History

We have a long tradition of excellence in serving our neighbors with caring and compassion: Our roots trace back to 1889, when William K. Kukuk, (great-grandfather of Eric) became a funeral director.

After returning from World War II in 1949, Eric’s father William S. Keyser founded Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service as it exists today. Eric, now a fourth-generation funeral director with over thirty years of experience, joined his father in the business in 1974. Eric’s son Luke, who joined the family business in 2010, became the fifth generation of Keysers to serve the Kingston and Port Ewen/Town of Esopus area communities.

Also in 2010, the Keysers added A. Carr & Son Funeral Home on Lucas Avenue in Kingston to their family of funeral homes. Now with three convenient locations, the Keyser family continues to proudly serve the members of the Kingston and Port Ewen communities during their times of need.

With compassion, understanding, and pride, Eric, Luke, and the staff at Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service at 326 Albany Avenue in Kingston and 216 Broadway in Port Ewen, and at our newest location, A. Carr & Son Funeral Home at 65 Lucas Avenue, Kingston, are there to guide you in honoring your loved one, and to care for you in your loss.
